Mark your calendar for Mission Encounter, the only conference-wide mission education and interpretation event. This year, Mission Encounter will be July 29-31 at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland. The event offers clergy and laity an opportunity to learn about being partners in God’s global mission and to grow spiritually through study and worship. It is open to men, women and youth.
Participants may attend one of three workshops: * Issue Study on "Climate Justice: A Call to Hope and Action" led by the Rev. Pat Watkins and the Rev. Dottie Yunger * Spiritual Growth Study on "The Bible and Human Sexuality: Claiming God's Good promise" led by the Rev. Dr. Rob Vaughn, the Rev. Myrtle Frances Hatcher and Prof. Esther Barkat; * Geographic Study on "Latin America: People and Faith" led by Don Edwards. There will also be a Korean Study on "Climate Justice: A Call to Hope and Action" and a Children's class on "God's Extravagant Garden."
